Blue Tongue Adventure Program

One of our most popular disability day services is our famous Blue Tongue Adventure program! Our adventures are designed for young people aged between 16 and 25 who have recently finished school and looking to make a bunch of new friends and have lots of fun while learn some handy skills along the way.

At Blue Tongue, we understand that finishing school can be a little intimidating. So that’s why we’re here to help you build the confidence and skills you need to take on every day like it’s a new adventure.

When it comes to our adventures, the sky is the limit!  You can catch us all over Brisbane, everywhere and anywhere from a picnic in the park, to exploring Stradbroke Island. Depending on how many adventurers are joining us each day, we may run up to four different disability day services, meaning you can pick your favourite activities with your favourite people! You can also choose to join us for as long or as little as you like. If you choose to join us for a full day of fun, we provide transport to and from our venues.

Blue Tongue Adventure is registered for NDIS under Tea-cup Cottage. If you’re unsure whether your NDIS funding will cover our programs, get in touch with us today for a chat!

Blue Tongue Pantry

One of our exciting Brisbane locations is our Blue Tongue Pantry in Thorneside, a vibrant space where we welcome the community to try our delicious homemade treats and enjoy a meal overlooking the water.

At the pantry, our adventurers test their skills in the kitchen by making handmade goodies, with the support of our crew. The community love purchasing our hand crafted goods like jams, chutneys, baked goodies, and much more. It’s a great way to contribute to the community and feel super accomplished for all of your hard work!

Ever dreamed about working in a café? As a part of our School Leaver Employment Support (SLES) program, we offer supported work experience at our Blue Tongue Pantry. You can work alongside passionate industry professionals and discover your hidden talents! Maybe you’re a natural barista with amazing coffee art skills that make your friends jealous!

You’ll also learn other great skills in areas including customer service, money handling, serving and much more to help boost your confidence when looking for work in the future. It’s all part of becoming more independent!

Blue Tongue Pantry is open daily from 6am to 5pm and is located at 100 Mooroondu Road in Thorneside, Brisbane (Get Directions).

Collectables Space

Ready to let your creative juices run wild!? Our Collectables warehouse in Wynnum, Brisbane is our super cool space where we help you to bring out your inner creativity and show it off to the world.

You could say it’s business in the front and party in the back! With our warehouse at the front selling all our homemade goodies to the community and our workshop space at the back where all the magic and creativity happens there’s always something exciting going on at Collectables.

We’re all about experimenting, learning and achieving. Sometimes we set off to find unique items in the community to purchase, repurpose and sell. Other times we make and create it all right here in our Collectables workshop!

We love anything new, different and unique, and so does our community. From hand made pieces of art,  to soy candles and body wash, we’re always challenging our creative minds and learning heaps of new skills along the way.

You can even buy our handmade Blue Tongue Collectables gifts from the other side of the world! We’re now selling our creations online. Visit our Etsy site to browse our masterpieces and get inspired to create some unique work of your own!

All profits from sales of our products go back into the maintenance and ongoing development of our program.
